Staff training for all who wish to be involved with NIKO as event leaders and staff/shadows. (N.B. You must have completed a NIKO Level 1 to attend staff training)
We’ll take some time to look at:
- NIKO history and values
- Different types of NIKO
- Staff roles and character (how do we demonstrate Jesus?)
- Basic skills for setting up camp
- Health and safety as well as risk assessments
- Health and fitness for NIKO
- Essential elements of a NIKO
- Coaching, shadowing & asking good questions
- Tools for NIKO leaders – web media & peer support
- Questions and answers
- As well as lots of fun – time to explore, play and share meals together
What you need to bring:
- A willingness to learn, share, interact and be vulnerable
- A smile and some fun-loving vibes
