Here is some important information for you to be able to arrive smoothly in Egypt and to get ready for the ILA.
First, some general info and reminders, then you will find everything you need to know about visas and arrival in Egypt.
GENERAL INFO
Festival of the nations: Please don’t forget snacks and gifts, flag, pictures, national costumes, music for a traditional dance etc. from your country
Babies: There will be quite a lot of 0-5 year olds so please note that Beit El Salam has NO baby chairs and cribs.

Please check the FAQ page often, as there is a lot of information for you to get ready for the ILA. We will be updating it regularly if there are any changes.
TRAVEL
E-visas & Immigration Procedures
– For those coming with a PCR test only, make sure it has either a QR code or a stamp and signature, otherwise you might be denied boarding. Same thing for Vaccination Certificates.
Arriving at Cairo Airport:
Filling out the Arrival Card:
– Trip purpose: TOURISM – For security reasons, do not mention a conference or YWAM or KKI

As you approach the Border Control Booths, you’ll see counters that look like banks. That’s where you go and pay for your visa that will be issued right away without any question asked.
Make sure you have US$25 cash to pay for it.
After going through Immigration, you can change your money in the Luggage Claim area (if it’s open) or in the Arrival Hall. Please bring US$, it’ll be easier and safer. Or there are ATMs you can withdraw money from. They only give EGP4,000 at a time, but you can repeat the operation many times if needed.
After getting your luggage, you should find someone outside the Arrival Hall holding a sign that says KKI ILA. They will take you to your bus.

As you enter the property, go to the first large building on the right (with a dolphin statue) called Promise at the Reception area. They will tell you where to go.

ILA FEES
It is possible to pay for your ILA fees in advance to the KKI bank account in Switzerland or by PayPal. For this, please email us back right away and we will issue you an invoice with all the info needed to make a payment.
If you’re paying at the ILA, please make sure you change your money at the airport. We will take only Egyptian Pounds for your ILA fees.
If you’re not sure of how much you need to pay for the ILA, please email us back right away and we will issue you an invoice with all the info needed.
For those needing a PCR test before returning to your home country, we will have a doctor come to the ILA location and take the samples a couple days before your departure, and then we’ll get the results before going to the airport.
